Editorial charter

What we cover, how we decide what to say about a game, and the rules that keep commissions away from our verdicts.

What does this site cover?

We write about free-to-play games you can play on a Windows PC. That means reviews, tier lists, setup guides, system requirements and roundups of the best games in a genre.

Every page is written for someone sitting at a PC, deciding whether a game is worth installing or how to get more out of it.

How do we make money?

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you install a game through one of them, the game’s publisher may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing, and every game we cover is free to download.

The full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.

Does a commission change what we say?

No. These rules apply to every page:

  • Scores and verdicts are ours. No publisher or affiliate network sees a page before it goes live, and none can change a score.
  • We say who should skip a game, including games that pay us.
  • Downsides stay in. Monetization, grind and pay-to-win concerns are covered plainly.
  • No paid placement. Nobody can buy a higher spot in a roundup or a tier list.

Which games do we choose to cover?

We prioritise games that have a commercial arrangement with us. We would rather say that openly than pretend otherwise. What that arrangement never buys is a better verdict.

What do we promise about facts?

Every factual claim should trace to a source you could check yourself. That usually means the developer’s site, the store page or official patch notes. How we do this is set out on how we research and verify.

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. See our corrections policy.

What will you never find here?

  • Redemption codes or “free currency” offers.
  • Fake reviews, invented quotes or made-up player numbers.
  • AI-generated screenshots presented as real gameplay.
